OFFICIAL REPORTS - PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES (HANSARD)

The Official Report consists of speeches and debates made in the Parliament Chamber and provides a record of parliamentary business and proceedings in a Sitting.

The Report is produced as nearly as possible verbatim. Following Westminster parliamentary conventions, minor edits to remove typographical and grammatical errors or to smoothen out sentences for readability are accepted for the verified Official Reports published online. The Reports found here date as far back as 1955, when Parliament was known as the Legislative Assembly.

A Sitting report is uploaded onto the website of the Parliament of Singapore within 7 working days from the adjournment of a Sitting. A listing of Parliamentary Sitting dates can be found here. A video on how to search through the Hansard reports can be found here.

The Official Reports are prepared in accordance with Standing Order No. 29. The Standing Orders, commonly referred to as the rules of parliamentary proceedings, can be found here.
